President Sirisena, Prime Minister attend SLAS Association AGM

President Maithrpala Sirisena, on Tuesday, presided over the 33rd Annual General Meeting of Sri Lanka Administrative Service Association. The event took place at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre in Colombo and was also attended by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, ministers and MPs.

The President charged that he does not desire to “feast like a king” and went on to comment on public servants. He stated that when letters and documents are taken to the officers for their signatures, they say that if they place their signature they will have to go to the FCID or face some sort of inquiry. Therefore,  it is disappointing to say that there is a delay in some processes. However anyone who is honest would not have to face any such situation, pointed out the president.
